Uitsigloos

Vasgevang in die alledaagse
Van inkopies, vloere vee,
Koskook en ‘n oorvol job jar,
Is daar weinig ontvlugting.

Besoeke aan ‘n lang wenslys
Van museums en stede
Is ons nie beskore:
Die Louvre, Londen, Praag, Parys
En al die ou meesters
Is helaas vir ons verlore.

Ons ervaar die eksotiese
Deur die geromantiseerde belewenis
Van fiksionele avonturiers
In films, teaters en romans.

Lynne Brown and the The Cuban Connection

Hieronder ‘n uittreksel uit News24:

On Friday, the Mail&Guardian reported that Eskom was 21 days from going broke.

Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown confirmed the “pressure on the company’s liquidity position”.

“Eskom will run out of money by the end of January,” she was quoted as saying. “It must still be addressed.”

Is jy verbaas?

Is jy verbaas as Eskom/Telkom/Transnet/SAA/Ens. nie floreer nie?

2014 in review

So, you think your attempt at blogging is popular? Well, think again!

NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 650,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 28 days for that many people to see it.
